Logitech HD Webcam C525 - Review

Logitech has launched two new HD recording webcams, namely the C310 and the C525. We received the C525 for testing, which features 720p video recording, a compact folding stand and new Logitech webcam software that offers entertaining photo and video effects.

Design and build quality

The webcam is quite compact, with a double-jointed stand that allows you to easily fix it to your PC monitor, laptop screen or even rest it on your desk. When you are not using it, you can just fold the stand over itself to cover the lens for protection when unused. The body has a swivel joint to connect it to the stand so that you can turn it 360 degrees while recording.

Features
The video quality is excellent at 720p on a reasonably powerful machine, but starts framing on slower machines. The webcam is perfect for online video chat with its clarity and high resolution video capture and you can also use the Logitech Vid HD software to share your videos and images on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube with just one click.

The webcam has an in-built mic that quite effectively cancels out ambient noise. The camera also has auto-focus and real-time light enhancement features that allow you to capture clear and sharp 8 megapixel images. The software bundled with the webcam contains some fun features and filters to make enhancements to your images and also to add effects to your photos and videos, such as like neon splashes, fish-eye distortions and a mask maker.

There is also an additional 60-day free trial of Logitech’s facial recognition software that you can download. It scans your face and enables you to use it as a password for your computer or to protect specific files or data.

Performance
In order to retain the HD quality of your media, the captured photos and recorded videos are not saved as compressed files. This means that you will require a fair amount of free storage space if you intend to record lengthy HD videos.

New Microsoft Touch Mouse Review

Microsoft may be best known for their operating system and Office suite, but their presence in the hardware market has been there for longer than the past decade. They’ve sold everything from web cameras and joysticks to gaming mice. While they’ve decided to discontinue with some of the hardware, they continue to focus on some key product categories such as mice. And the latest, big release from Microsoft is their new Touch Mouse.

Features
Microsoft has tried to be unique with some of the mice designs in the past. The Microsoft Arc line of mice is the perfect example. However, the Touch Mouse is different. It appears more refined and more precise.

Unlike other mice where there a whole bunch of specifications and details to talk about, there are none in the Touch Mouse. It’s wireless and it’s powered by Microsoft’s own BlueTrack technology, that has been in use on some of their other mice. The mouse, as its name explains supports touch functionality.

Apart from that, it has two physical clicks and a USB dongle that acts as a wireless receiver. There are no drivers required and the mouse doesn’t come with it. Microsoft claims that it’ll run just fine on pretty much any other OS, including older Windows Vista and Windows XP, but to be able to take advantage of the the gestures, you’re best using the mouse on Windows 7.

There a few shortcomings. For example, there is no middle click so you can’t directly open a link as a background tab. For an expensive mouse such as this, there are no DPI or sensitivity switching buttons either. The base has two long strips of pads that help the mouse on the surface. The weight of the mouse with the batteries makes it a little more resistant on hard surfaces.

XFX Radeon HD 6770 - Review

The XFX Radeon HD 6770, like the rest of the Radeon 6000 series of GPUs is based on the 40nm fabrication process. The GPU runs at 850MHz and has 800 stream processors under the hood. XFX has gone with 1GB of Hynix’s GDDR5 memory. This isn’t an overclocked card, so most of the specifications as exactly the same as the reference car

The XFX Radeon HD 6770 is different from the stock Radeon design. This card, however is smaller than the Radeon 6800 line of cards. XFX has gone with the standard black PCB and a large heatsink on top of the GPU. Although, the design of the heatsink is basic, but it is very effective.

Stunning Samsung Galaxy 750 Tab

Samsung Galaxy 750 a new Android phone in the market to compete with other Tabs available in market. This impressive 10.1” Tab runs on Google’s OS, Honeycomb. There are many Honeycomb Tab flooding in market then why to buy Galaxy 750? Not to worry as I going to explain you in detail.Samsung Galaxy 750 is widely known as “Samsung Galaxy 10.1”. So, don’t get confused. Because of its large display it got the name “10.1”. Okay coming into packaging, the phone comes in a large box. The box contains, Galaxy Tab, an Adopter, earphone and a guide kit book. But doesn’t have USB dongles in package.

Coming to its hardware and style, the Galaxy 750 has widescreen that measures 10.1 inches 1280×800 WXGA TFT LCD display. This interesting device weighs 565 grams which is more comfortable to handle as compared to iPad that weighs 36 grams extra. It is the world’s thinnest Tab measuring 8.6 mm, biting iPad 2 by 0.2mm. It may be insignificant but it matters a lot when comes to intense handling. Before Samsung designed Galaxy 750 a little weighty but it iPad 2 weight becomes an eye opener for Samsung to redesign it again. I must say this decision was absolutely executed and hence makes the Tab most liked product among users.

You must put all your attention on the LCD display. The glossy white black finish gives a sophisticate look and wonderfully constructed devices with ultra light plastic. Easy to handle and carry in Bags. Samsung has also used aluminum elements to construct the device. The material covers the device from back and surrounding the camera. But few users say it feels like more over synthetic then the metal but its okay, no issue on it.

The 1GHz NVidia Tegra 2 Processor &1GB RAM gives a speedy routine. It supports 16/32/64 GB expandable memory. But the TouchWiz makes the device slow a little. The device has smooth performance as compare to other Honeycomb tablets. The devise has built-in 7000mAh battery that can play 9 hours video and 72 hours music. It’s pretty much notable.

The Future Of Tablet Computing

Remember the good old days when a bulky machine called a PC was something meant only for geeks. The 8086, 286, 386, 486 and the Pentium revolutionized the world of computing, but only for a short period of time.

Then came in the laptops, notebooks or mobile computing which took technology a step ahead. It’s fair to say laptops have come a long way since the early 1990s, LCD displays have been replaced with sleek HD screens and the once plus-size machines are now zero sized models. If laptops have evolved so much in that space of time, where can they go from here; especially in this so-called post-PC era where tablets PCs are all set to take over computing world?

One important element of the laptop design has stayed persistent during the past 20 years, the conventional flip lid, protecting the screen and providing a sturdy base for a the keyboard it’s the back-bone of any laptop. But with the emergence of the tablet market, advances in technology and changing materials this could be about to change.

The rise of tablet PCs means laptops must adapt, while tablets and laptops are both suited to particular environments, each could learn from one another. While the clam-shell laptop is tried and tested it does have its drawbacks and limitations, in the future it is very likely that we will see new types of laptops moving away from the clam-shell design. Dual screen and sliding laptops have already made an appearance these early concepts will undoubtedly see many iterations in the coming years, which could see them grab back some of market share tablet PCs have recently taken.

Power, the Achilles heel of laptops, we’ve all been there desperately trying to complete a task before the life in your laptop drains away. Wouldn’t it be amazing if laptops could hold their charge for days on end, unfortunately that’s not going to happen anytime soon. However smarter technologies such as inductive charging could soon put AC adaptors into retirement. For this to happen charging pads will need to be widely adopted, just imagine sitting on the train using your laptop while it charges via the surface you’re using.
The last two years have seen growth and rapid expansion of the Tablet PC market. A record 19.7 million of these devices were shipped worldwide in 2010. The future looks bright in any case for the manufacturers of these devices. Critics of both are quick to dismiss this trend and hype are quick to point out that these devices offer nothing new to the consumer. So what is the future of Tablet PCs on the market?

A tablet is not a smartphone or a personal computer. Most of these devices do not have video cameras as the smartphone and cannot make calls. It also lacks the devices which came with a PC, mouse and keyboard are associated. However, you may want plug-in devices such as accessories, if necessary. The screen may be larger than a smartphone, but it is smaller than a PC. Basically, the main outlets for appliances slate ultra slim elegant touch screen, wireless Internet access and ingenious applications.

Other features of computers, such as Notepad, games, music and videos can be easily achieved with other gadgets. It is difficult to identify the unique aspects of Tablet PCs that are not available to other high-tech tools. However, these devices are in fashion among consumers. What is driving the demand for equipment tablet? Analysts say the ease of obtaining the content is the most important factor that stimulates the sale of Slate PC. The majority of users are consumers of shale content. Listen to people who are interested in movies, reading online magazines, books, newspapers, music and exchange tips on social media. The makers of the pills on specific niche, which consists of a large number of adolescents, young adults and working class people. Most of these people find it easier to access their favorite content with the tablet PC.

On the other side of the divide are the creators of content. They are individuals who need software like word processing, spreadsheets, databases and working with slides. These people cannot see the need for Tablet PCs that do not meet these functions effectively.

It has enormous growth of the PC market slate in the last two years. Although coverage in the media industry, contributed to their popularity, design and applications are important selling points for Tablet PCs. However, there are many features that you cannot do with Tablet PCs. In such cases, your old laptop or PC will prove to be useful to finish the job.
