After much speculation, Clarence House today announced the engagement of Prince William to Kate Middleton. The couple will get married in either the Spring or Summer of next year and continue to live in North Wales while Prince William works as an air sea rescue pilot for the RAF. The couple became engaged during a recent holiday in Kenya having been together for eight years.

Prince William and Royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton visit St Andrews University in Fife, Scotland, to mark the start of it's 600th anniversary year.As Patron of the 600th Anniversary Appeal, Prince William and his fiancee Miss Middleton attended a reception, viewed the surviving Papal Bull, launched the Patronage and met a selection of the University's current staff and students. Both the Prince and Kate studied at the ancient Scottish university and it is where they first set eyes on each other - almost 10 years ago! They are set to get married on April 29.

Kate Middleton and Prince William visit City Hall on March 8, 2011 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Royal Couple are visiting Northern Ireland as part of a tour of the Nation that a couple of weeks ago took them to St Andrews University in Scotland and Anglesey in North Wales to launch a lifeboat. This day-long trip to Ireland has been kept top secret due to security issues. They will marry on the 29th April at Westminster Abbey in a much anticipated ceremony.

Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton make their final public engement before their wedding later this month. Despite some rather heavy April showers, the royal couple were greeted by crowds of flag waving onlookers as they paid a joint visit to the Witton Country Park in Darwen, north western England. They viewed some of the activities that take place in the park to demonstrate the importance of outdoor recreational spaces. William and Kate will marry at London's Westminster Abbey on Friday April 29 2011.
